Tuesday Bonding Activity (Joker, lets FACE it!)

Tuesday, 29th of July 2008 was the remarkable start of Bonding Week. To show unity, StatSocers wore striped shirts for the day.

The costume assigned to the applicants was JOKER. Costume Parade was held in Vinzon's Rooftop. Different portrayals of Joker were present. Excited applicants gave justice to their costume during the costume parade. They were grouped in pairs and were asked to prepare a skit on which they should include the lines of Joker in the movie Batman: The Dark Knight; "You complete me", "Let's put a smile on that face", and the most famous line "Why so serious?". Each gave his best to bring out a unique and fun performance in front of the StatSocers.

Announcement of the Best in Costume was done. Three applicants recieved the said award. Every applicant that wins Best in Costume each day shall recieve bonuses such as the signature in the codename of a Personnel Committee member, additional points in the final grade or additional tambay hours. To sum it all up, the applicants' efforts won't be wasted if they would just give their best each day in the Costume Week.

Jimmy, Girl? and Jan were declared Best in Costume for the day.

Applicants' first day of parade was now over but they still have to prove themselves in the coming days. Next day, they have to dress as famous landmarks.

After the Costume Parade, it was now time for the Tuesday Activity which was prepared by one of the teams in the BOD composed of Jeran Cuarto, Fay Sinocruz and Mazhiel Mercader. The activity they prepared for the day was entitled "let's FACE it!".

The prayer was led by Mazhiel Mercader. Opening remarks for the Bonding Week was given by the President, Ernest Dominic Buhangin.

The members and the applicants were divided into 5 groups. The aim of the game is to test the members on how well they know each other through guessing who the picture depicts. But of course, the challenge for them is that the face of the member has been distorted. Each team should also have representatives for each level. The game has 3 levels namely DISTURBIA (the first 3 representatives of each group will be the ones to look at the disorted picture and relay it to the next set of representatives of their group via charades); ENIGMA (the next 3 representatives of each group shall be the ones to answer the charades done at the disturbia level, then they will draw who they guess the member is); and the APOCALYPSE (the representatives from the enigma level will show their drawing to the last set of representatives of the group - the remaining ones). The score of the group relies mostly to the answer of the last set of representatives for they will be the ones to guess who the distorted picture is.

At the end of the activity, members burst out laughing as they altogether guessed who the other distorted pics were. It was a trully fun experience for the members and applicants. It isn't over yet because more fun activities are still to come. All for the love of StatSoc(ers)!
