Wednesday Bonding Activity (Famous Landmarks, Digital StatSoc Claim to Fame)
To show UP StatSoc's unity they wore Formal Tops for the day. Many got uncomfortable but it didn't stop the members from taking part in the bonding week.
Wednesday seems to be a day of “no space for new person” in the tambayan when the applicants had their second day of costume week as famous landmarks. Using the creativity and resourcefulness of the applicants, most of them really did a good job in making famous landmarks costumes, some even had 3-Dimensional costumes.
Some were like the Statue of Liberty, Pyramid of Egypt, Rice Terraces, and many more. In their parade they were tasked to introduce themselves by answering the question “Why do we have to go to that place or see that famous landmark?” and make transformations out of their costume.
With so much effort done by Jan, James, and Canter they became the must-see Famous Landmarks of the night and were entitled to have the sign of Ms. Sherine Rivad, Personnel Committee Chairperson, in her codename in the Sig-Sheet.
After the very enjoying parade of Centrum (08-B), next was the activity prepared by the team composed of Ernext Dominic Buhangin, Lovely Carranza and Sherine Rivad. The title of the fun activity for the night was "Digital StatSoc Claim to Fame". Sounds familiar? Well, they patterned the game with the past TV game show Digital LG Quiz.
At the end of the game, only one emerged victorious, it was Angelica Tanedo along with her group, Group 5.

Thursday Bonding Activity (Internal Organs, Stat-is-Skewed!)
Thursday it is! Another day to bond with each other. Assigned dress code for the members were skirts/shorts/dress. It was a delight for the members to know that their applicants were also participating in the said dress code.
Come afternoon, it was now time for the applicants to ramp their costume in the parade. Their parade was held in Vinzon's Rooftop.
After their efforts in entertaining the members, Sherine Rivad, Personnel Committee Chairperson then announced the winners of Best in Costume.
The Bonding Activity for Thursday was the team of Patricia Ermitanio, Richmon Tiongson and Catherine Reyes. They named the activity "Stat-is-Skewed!". (Sounds familiar?
)
Stat-is-Skewed! is a pageant night for the members wherein each team should choose their representatives to compete in the pageant. Each representative should portay two different personalities as what they call "doble-kara".
The 1st group chose Julie Baluyot and John Lenard Alcantara as their representatives. Julie as half-alladin and half-genie while Canter as half-Jasmine and half-lamp.
The first group presented a very humorous skit about jasmine and alladin and how alladin ended up living happily together with kamatayan.
The 2nd group chose Carmilou Peralta and Gerald Calimutan. Carmilou played as half-Patrash and half-isda while Gerald as half-ibong adarna and half-Jose Rizal.
The group performed a Patrash-inspired skit led by Michael Almeda. The story was about the adventure of Patrash in search for the ibong-adarna.
The last group's representatives were Ana Naraja and Jong Banez. Ana was half-lung and half-brain while Jong was half-intestine and half-man.
Their group presentation was about the different uses of the hand-made intestine which was used as the umbilical cord of the baby, the hair of rapunzel, chinese garter, rope for catching Mikko, and many more.
After the talent portion of the group, next was the Question and Answer portion. Invited judges were Peter Julian Cayton and Chaida Arawiran.
First pair that was asked were Julie and Canter. Their question was "If you were to be given the chance to have another tongue, where would you put it and why?"
Next were Carmilou and Gerald with the question, "If you were to be a mole where would you want to be placed and why?"
The last question was for Ana and Jong.
After the Q&A portion, the scores were then computed using the very high-tech calculators of the BOD.
Certificates of Appreciation were also given to the judges by the team in-charge for the day's bonding activity.
The team that won in the pageant was the team of Julie and Canter. They were the first winners of the first ever Stat-is-Skewed! conducted by UP StatSoc. Congratulations!
Of course, members' delight was also captured while watching for their teammates ramp on stage.
UP StatSoc's Board of Directors would like to thank the members, applicants and alumni for taking part in the event.
Trully, StatSoc is known for its fun activities and fun members. One round of applause to StatSoc!
