SUMMER MARKETING HOP

Ten Statsocers went to the stores and boutiques in Trinoma last April 23, 2010 as they looked for possible Freshmen activities sponsors and semestral sponsors.

Marketing adhoc members Maureen Ladao, Maricar Moreno, Gem Caban and Debbie Castillo joined the marketing hop while Angelica Basada, Marifel Janine Vergara, Jimmy Pelantic, Gerald Calimutan, Rosemarie Espalmado and Roni Obillos were the BOD who came. The Statsocers were grouped into threes and twos, and were then distributed to each floors of the mall. Each pair and trio gave marketing proposals for the upcoming freshmen activity and for semestral activities to the different establishments.

Around 20 establishments accepted the proposal and should be updated by the members within the week or within the due date the establishment had specified.

BOD Summer SEMPLAN

Delayed by the hectic schedule of their academics, the 2010 – 2011 set of Board of Directors finally had their summer and first semester planning at Philcoa last April 15 – 17, 2010.

Summer bagsakan and activities for the first semester were the bulk of the discussion of the semplan that was catered all for the members concern.

The supposedly semplan in Cavite on the same date was relocated to Philcoa because of complication with summer classes and the earlier intended semplan during Holy Week was canceled but the BOD sacrificed what could have been better venues for the semplan just to have some summer and first semester preparation meeting as they were all business during the semplan.

All for the love of Statsoc.

NEW SET OF BOD TAKE OATH

Facilitated by former UP Statsoc president, Mr. Paul Michael Almeda, the new set of board directroes chaired by Ms. Angelica Basada took their oath as leaders of the organization for A.Y. 2010 – 2011 during the summer general meeting last April 14, 2010 at CAL AVR.

As officers, they are basically tasked t plan and implement projects that would contribute to the welfare of the organization and its members.

“We aim to adapt a member – oriented – policy,: said the board of directors in their general plan of action.

such, important matters were constituted to the general assembly during the same day.

Hosted by newly – elected Internal Vice President, Carla Katherine Pizarro and Internal Committee Chairperson, Jonathan Banez, matters regarding summer bagsakan, movie screening, marketing adhoc, Ahype, Statsoc jacket, Statsoc I.d. Adhoc and the choice of advisers were tackled.

However, due to lack of quorum, decisions on the said matters are to be discussed on the next general meeting.
